Uruguay is the joint-most successful team in the history of Copa America, having lifted the trophy on 15 occasions. 

La Celeste will be highly confident of topping the group, and a victory in this clash would be a step in the right direction to making the competition’s knockout stages.

Uruguay ended a three-game winless run with a 4-0 win against Mexico, with star striker Darwin Nunez scoring a brace. The Liverpool striker could be an influential figure for his team in the USA. 

This will be only the second Copa America that Panama has participated in. They lost two and won one in their last tournament appearance in 2016. 

Panama’s recent form has been mixed. However, this group will be a big test as Uruguay and the USA are the favourites to make the competition quarter-finals from the group.
